  1. Japanese edition of Bruce Gilbert's first three solo recordings in a 3-CD jewel box. Includes booklets for each disc with English liner notes, a "master" booklet with notes in Japanese, and a paper strip to keep the booklets together.5/5(7).
  2. Previous CD issues were the This Way to The Shivering Man on Mute (with U Mu U missing), and the Japan only 3 CD box with This Way, Shivering Man and Insiding previously released by Alfa Recordings. 3. May 21,  · "U, Mu, U" is the only track from this EP/cassette not to appear on the later "This Way To The Shivering Man" CD. Again it is a dense piece of percussive music, although imagine WIM MERTENS looking over REICH's shoulder saying 'no, I'd put a tempo change in there' '3/4, not 4/4', much to REICH's ire. A very interesting little album this/5(52).

  6. Dec 14,  · Originally released on Mute in on this was Wire man, Bruce Gilbert's first solo album. A stunning study of controlled ambience and subtle minimalism, that still retains its power 25 years on. The bulk of the album is taken up by a charcoal grey tonal poem of beautiful bleakness which builds up to an ecstatic crescendo of the third movement.
  7. Originally released on Mute in , This Way was Bruce Gilbert's first solo album, not long before the reformation of Wire (a band co-founded by Gilbert), and was primarily made up of work commissioned by choreographer Michael Clark for his Do You For Me? I Did/Swamp. This music takes up the first half-hour of the disc, with the first two parts marking a perhaps unexpectedly majestic opening.
